“…solid, powerhouse musicianship.”  Relix

Midwestern Rock band, Red Wanting Blue are thrilled to announce their new album, The Wantingto be released on April 13th. To celebrate, Red Wanting Blue has unveiled their new song, “Ulysses.” CLICK HERE to listen.

The lead singer, Scott Terry says, “’Ulysses’ is a dark horse love song. A primal heartbeat. An epic quest driven by romantic obsession. The search to find love’s grandest gesture and the willingness to go beyond what is reasonable and acceptable…for love.

It feels right that “Ulysses” kicks off this record’s release. It has a pulse and hunger to it that captures our vision of The Wanting. The title of the album being drawn from the band’s name and life’s unrelenting desire to go further…along with the disbelief that all wilderness has been explored. It’s the emotional journey we take and the bouts of madness we weather to see it all with our own eyes. It is a record that could only be made by sharing the experience together, and it stands as our most collaborative album to date.”

Produced by acclaimed singer/songwriter Will Hogethe record draws on many of the group’s traditional strengths—indelible melodies, infectious hooks, explosive performances—even as the making of it pushed them far outside their comfort zone and forced them to take an unprecedented, nearly year-long break from touring. Alternately triumphant and melancholic, the songs on The Wanting are both muscular and nuanced, with frontman Scott Terry’s epic, heartfelt vocals soaring above the band’s gritty brand of driving rock and roll.

The Wanting is the band’s eleventh album to date. Over the course of ten studio albums, they brought their passionate, unforgettable live show to every city and town that would have them, blazing their own distinctive trail through the American heartland as they built up the kind of fanatically dedicated audiences normally reserved for arena acts.

In support of the new album, the band will be hitting the road starting in May. Tickets will be on sale, Friday, February 16th at

The band’s hunger remains after 20 years and the hunger has been their fuel, their motivation, their essence. Hunger has steered every step of the group’s extraordinary journey, and now, it’s at the heart of their most powerful record yet.

Red Wanting Blue has released ten full-length albums to date: Velveteen (1996), Image Trigger (1998), Model Citizen (2000), Sirens (2001), Souvenirs of City Life (2002), Pride: The Cold Lover (2004), The Warehouse Sessions (2006), These Magnificent Miles (2008 & re-release, 2010), From The Vanishing Point (2011) and Little America (2014).

In 2016, they celebrated with a 20th anniversary retrospective album/concert film entitled ‘RWB20 Live at Lincoln Theater,’ which captured the band in all their glory at a sold-out hometown show in Columbus, OH.

Throughout their career, they landed in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and at #1 for the band’s home region. They earned raves from Rolling Stone to Esquire and made appearances on The Late Show with David LettermanVH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live, and NPR’s Mountain Stage.
