Jared & The Mill; Break in the Ether Video, CO Dates July 18 & 19, In Denver August 21-Bluebird Theater

Indie-folk outfit Jared & The Mill have channeled the energy-charged emotion they funnel throughout everything they touch into their new video for “Break in the Ether”.

The song reinforces Billboard‘s notion that “Jared & The Mill often sing songs with messages of authenticity, open-mindedness and acknowledgement of others’ opinions, similar to this song, which acts as an ode to their fans of living up to their capabilities and being who they imagine themselves to be.” Comprised of five best friends, bonded together by spending (possibly too much) time on the road, there is something unabashedly and unapologetically straightforward about how the collective approaches their life in music. The band has built their career championing open-mindedness and celebrating other people’s differences.

It is because of this approachability as with the band and family-tie connection they share with their fans that has thrust their genre-bending career to a next level.
“The shows we put on bring people together in the most genuine way possible, Jared Kolesar, the frontman and Jared in Jared & the Mill affirmed, addressing the bands “family first” policy with fans. “Our message is one of acceptance. Not in a circle sitting kum-baya bullshit way…in a way of acknowledging that we all have shit we regret,” “We all have passions and opinions, and it’s up to all of us to filter through our flaws and our regrets to find ourselves. So don’t judge other people. Do your best to have a good time in life and care about everybody. Like… ‘everybody’ everybody.”

As a result, when you walk through the doors of a Jared & the Mill show, it feels a lot like going home or visiting your favorite bar. In a room of complete strangers, you’re met with an overwhelmingly welcoming feeling of recognition, regardless of the size of the venue. From dive bars to arenas, you will find the same speckled crowd, quilted together with straight-edged business men of Wall Street, drunk fucks ups from neighborhood taverns and God-fearing church folk with their Sunday morning missions, arms around each other as they surround the band, hooting and howling transparently and communally about a cohesive sentiment that bands them all together as brothers; their regrets.
